"The Real T-Dot" pays homage to Toronto’s Hip Hop Culture. Set to an upbeat funk jazz melody, DJ Gedsi’s production delivers a fun and catchy rhythm that’s sure to entertain music lovers of all kind, while Emcee G-Roc showcases a variety of lyrical and vocal talent. The track begins with G-Roc reminiscing about his youth in the Toronto urban scene, taking us back to a “Golden Era” before touching upon the arts decent through commercialization. In the second verse, G-Roc begins a discussion about what can be done to move forward, in continuation of that “Golden Era”. Among his call to parents, he includes the study of the artists and behavioral traits that made up that time. G-Roc closes the track in a fun and playful manner, while calling shout outs to some past and present Toronto Hip Hop artists that contribute to a sustainable Toronto Urban Scene. Ultimately, Real TDot delivers a promise of hope for Toronto Hip Hop.
